Bangladesh consists of over 14.8 million orphaned children. Many of these orphans do not have access to the basic necessities of life such as food, water and shelter.

Bangladeshi children from poorer communities simply can’t afford to attend. Factors such as the cost of stationery, working families and families having to travel vast distances.
Ramadhan is a blessed month. However, it is also a time where our communities suffer and struggle the most. With spiralling food prices and with the cost of living increasing each year the month Ramadhan for many becomes challenging.
Bangladesh is affected by natural disasters, cyclones and severe flooding. Most of their homes are makeshift shelters, constructed from cane and thatched.
This is a significant time of the Islamic calendar. However, the poorer communities simply can’t afford to observe Qurbani. Again, it is also a time of inflated prices on essential food items.
Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, are just a few countries or regions around the world where people have suffered from civil war, regime changes and natural disasters.
Distributing rice is not enough. We need to equip these families with the tools, knowledge and support to help themselves to generate a living and sustain their families.
Zakat is calculated at 2.5% of your combined wealth and is given to charity annually. Contributions will go to the most poverty-stricken regions in Bangladesh.
